Orlando Magic at Miami Heat Pending

Posted Stan Winman ( 47 Won / 30 Lost ) on 03/18/2010

The Miami Heat will have to dig deep at home this Thursday as Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, and company will be in Miami in a possible first round playoff preview.

Orlando Magic (47-21, 2nd in Eastern Conference)
Miami Heat (35-33, t-6th in Eastern Conference)

Sportsbook: NBA Lines
Spread: Magic -3.5
Over/Under: 191
Money Line: Magic -160, Heat +135

Miami lost its previous contest, at home to the Spurs on Tuesday, 88-76. The Heat are 6-4 in their last ten, and Dwayne Wade has been leading the charge for the Heat with 26.4 points, 6.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds a game. The Magic appear to be as complete a team as any and with Vince Carter’s improved play, the Magic are a hot pick to go all the way this season. Orlando is 8-2 in their last 10 games, but has lost two out of three to Miami this year. The most recent game however, was a drubbing by the Magic in a 96-80 rout on February 28th. The Magic have been playing like a team on a mission and outside of Wade, are completely superior at every position than the Heat and have been playing at a higher level recently than the Heat can play at.

Final: Magic 92 – Heat 84. Take the Magic -3.5
